Information You Send
Text entered into a name, phone, or address search is sent to the third-party service that supplies the result. The site operator does not keep a copy of those search terms. If you send an email, the message and any details in it are used to answer the request.
Routine Technical Logs
Hosting systems may record an IP address, browser type, requested page, and time. These ordinary logs help review traffic, security, and site performance. Basic cookies, analytics, or advertising measurement may also be used where those services are enabled.
How Limited Data Is Used
Contact information is used to reply, protect the service, and review broad page traffic. It is not used to create a resident profile. The public records described on the Arapahoe County pages remain with the government, library, museum, archive, or other custodian that holds them.
Links and Search Providers
County portals, state lookups, libraries, museums, archives, and sponsored search tools have their own privacy rules. Following an external link or submitting a search can send data directly to that provider. Read the provider’s current notice before using its form.
Who May Receive Information
Hosting, analytics, security, email, and search providers may process the limited information needed to run their service. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect the service, or to address abuse. The site does not sell a resident database.
Security Practices
Reasonable technical and administrative steps are used for the small amount of information handled here. No internet transfer or storage system is guaranteed secure. Avoid sending sensitive identity documents or private records through an ordinary contact message unless the responsible office gives a secure route.
Children and Public Records
The reference is not directed to children under 13, and no account is required. Do not submit a child’s personal details through a search or message. Government records described here may also exclude preregistered minors, juvenile cases, or other protected information.
Your Colorado Privacy Choices
The Colorado Privacy Act, C.R.S. §§6-1-1301 et seq., can give covered consumers rights to access, correct, delete, transfer, or opt out of certain processing. The Colorado Attorney General recognizes Global Privacy Control as a universal opt-out signal from July 1, 2024. Because this reference retains little direct data, a request normally means checking the contact mailbox and applicable logs. Use the Contact page to ask.
Those rights do not delete a county, city, court, voter, recorder, assessor, or archive record held by its public custodian. A request for a public record or correction goes to that custodian. Colorado Open Records Act requests under C.R.S. §§24-72-201 et seq. are also subject to statutory exceptions, redactions, and the office’s process.
Changes to This Notice
Privacy practices can change as hosting, analytics, search, or legal requirements change. A revised policy will be posted here with a new effective date or updated wording. Continued use after an update means the revised notice applies to later use.
